Recently, the cycling community received unexpected news of the closure of GCN+ (Global Cycling Network Plus), leaving fans and subscribers with mixed emotions. Subscribers were notified that from 19 December, Global Cycling Network will close its GCN+ service and the GCN app and subscribers would receive a refund for any payments beyond that date.
According to GCN, they will still continue on with their incredibly successful youtube channel, however its rumoured that owners Warner Brothers Discovery has been looking to sell GCN’s parent company Play Sports Network so who knows what the future holds.
Fortunately we have until April next year before the UCI Mountain Bike World Series kicks off in Brazil, could we see Redbull make a comeback?
