Mary's Mayhem offers a two-day overnight social bike ride along some of Australia's finest gravel roads, showcasing breathtaking scenic views of the Rylstone/Mudgee region. Participants will enjoy complimentary access to event photographs captured by ReadyAimMedia. The event pays homage to the legacy of Mary Ann Bugg, a proud Worimi woman and possibly Australia's first female bushranger in the 1800s. Married to Captain Thunderbolt, she allegedly orchestrated his escape from Cockatoo Island prison by swimming across shark-infested waters of Sydney Harbour with a file clenched between her teeth. Known for her unconventional acts, including wearing men's attire, she operated in the Central North West NSW region. Event Support will include on-course feed zones and mechanical assistance. Fully insured and with approval from local authorities, participants will also receive a 'goodies bag' featuring samples from sponsors and a limited edition commemorative patch. Overview
